The name says it all!
We chose the name CustomMasterpieces because the portraits that we create are truly custom works of art. Unlike some portrait services that transfer your photograph onto a larger canvas and then simply paint over it, our artists start with a blank canvas and create your portrait entirely by hand. This authentic process affords you a number of customizing options.Touch-ups and Cropping
In addition to cropping, minor touch-ups can be easily made. These can include (but are not limited to) removing skin blemishes, fixing “bad hair,” changing the color of clothing, changing a neckline or sleeve length, etc.
|
Not only can components be removed from a photo, but with other reference photos, additions can be made. In this case the dress is extended and the Bride's feet can be seen. |
Subject combining
Our artists can combine subjects from two or more photographs into one portrait. You can also combine the subject(s) from one or more photographs with the background from another.
This photograph combines subjects from two separate photographs. |
Backgrounds
You can choose our standard, studio background for your portrait, or you can have the artist recreate the background of your choice, in any degree of detail.
| | Removing unnecessary objects from the background allows us to focus on the subject and create a very clean, beautiful portrait. |

This photo was cropped and painted against a standard, studio background to help make the darling toddler the focal point of the portrait. |
Artistic Style
Virtually any artistic style can be mimicked to create a Custom Masterpiece to suite your tastes and décor.

| The colors and style of this lovely portrait likens it to that of the works of Norman Rockwell. | This creative portrait with its simple elements and almost monochromatic color scheme would fit well into a casual décor. |
